Why do I need a consult and how much does it cost?
A consultation with one of our doctors is necessary to determine the right course of treatment. The doctor will review your medical history, perform a clinical exam, review your x-rays with you and explain your diagnosis and treatment, as well as anesthetic options.
Surgery can occasionally be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or multi-staged treatment plans will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
The current fee for a consultation is $100. If need be, we will also take a panoramic x-ray at no additional charge to you. A consultation/exam is required for medical/legal reasons prior to performing surgery on a patient and allows our doctors to provide the best care possible for their patients.

It’s a matter of trust…you trust your dentist and your dentist trusts Manchester Oral Surgery. We are committed to providing our patients with experienced and compassionate care, and we will do everything possible to assist you in receiving reimbursement from your insurance carriers.
What will wisdom teeth extractions cost?
The cost of wisdom teeth extractions varies from patient to patient. The fee depends on the type of extraction (i.e. surgical vs. soft tissue impaction vs. partial bone impaction vs. full bone impaction) as well as what type of anesthesia you choose (i.e. nitrous oxide vs. IV Sedation). The best way to provide you with an accurate fee estimate is to have you meet with our doctors for an exam. At that visit we will provide you with a written treatment plan.
Do I have to send in a claim on my own?
Our staff works directly with insurance providers and will process your claim. You provide us with your insurance information and we will do the rest. At your request, we can check with your insurance provider to determine the amount they will cover based on your remaining benefits and provide you with an estimate of how much they will reimburse you.
